With live video becoming such a sought after form of social content, I had long wanted to execute a completely live official music video. I'd pitched the concept to a few artists who were unsure of their ability to deliver the required level of performance.

Fortunately, and by complete coincidence, Serge from Kasabian wanted one of the videos from the For Crying Out Loud album to be shot live - he was excited by the possibility (or indeed probability) of things going wrong. Eventually we agreed that we'd pick the track Are You Looking For Action? Our biggest concern..? The track is more than eight minutes long.

So the groundbreaking official video for Are You Looking For Action? was recorded live and shot in one continuous take. It was broadcast live on Facebook in partnership with LADBible.

The video features a lot of extras, most wearing fancy dress as characters from previous video campaigns.

Longest Single-Shot In Music Video History

First Official Music Video Broadcast On Facebook Live

Broadcast simultaneously on LADBible and Kasabian's Facebook channels, the video reached 1.7m people and received 462k views in 24 hours.

With a duration of 8:06, it's the longest single-shot in music video history.

The video won Best Internet Video (Music & Entertainment) at the 2017 Lovie Awards.

It was such an incredible experience to make a music video feel like a live event. Whatever went down, that was it. The adrenaline and excitement of recording it in one shot, to a live audience was unreal. I think it could be the first of many for us.
