Foo fighters

For the release of Concrete & Gold, Foo Fighters' ninth album, we opened a pop-up pub in Bethnal Green.

We took over existing pub The Dundee Arms, and renamed it the Foo Fighters Arms for a week in September 2017. Naturally we offered a Foo Fighters beer brewed by Truman's on tap.

We adorned the pub's walls with oil painting-style posters of the band as some kind of Lords of Olde and bespoke merchandise was offered for sale in the pub that played on the same Olde England theme. There were the obvious (pint glasses), the not-so-obvious (Foo Fighters T-shirts with London Underground roundels and London buses) and the downright ludicrous (a tea set – include cups, saucers and a tea pot – adorned with paintings of the band in period costumes priced at £250). Of course, fans could also buy the album on site.

This was all put together with a knowing sense of ridiculousness and fun synonymous with the band.
